 RESIDENTIAL GRAFTING SEMINAR 12TH-13TH MARCH 2005


Learn to graft fruit trees and help with the grafting of 120 old variety apple trees!
Lancashire apple varieties were once popular in other parts of Britain. They include Duke of Devonshire, which was raised
at Holker Hall in the 1830's, Golden Spire, widely grown in Scotland and Keswick Codling an 18th century apple which
was discovered "growing among a quantity of rubbish behind a wall" at Gleaston Castle near Ulverston.
Accommodation and meals will be provided at the Environmental Education Centre in Middlewood, Lancaster.
Book soon as places are limited.
Fee:£20
Once the trees are established they will be made available to be planted in Lancashire gardens.
