DIRECT MARKETING EVENT - 21 FEBRUARY 2005

The training day will explore different approaches to marketing organic products to consumers; how to capture their attention, and what motivates consumers buying patterns/habits. Speakers will discuss how to promote direct sales by increasing their knowledge of what the customer wants; internet salesm selling via farm shops and farmers' markets and supplying local restaurants. Experiences of hosting farm visits to get public and families to visit and understand where food comes from, and to value the quality, will also be explored.
